Our home base for our larger group classes is primarily in Webster Groves at The Monday Club. However, for the convenience of our students we offer classes at a variety of facilities.  Please check carefully to assure the location of the class you register for.  Here is a list of the venues:

The Monday Club, 37 South Maple Ave. ( Webster Groves )  Map and Driving Directions note: the facility looks like a house from the front but it is quite large and hosts a 2500 sq foot wood dance floor that is one of the best in the city!

The Technique Studio, Conveniently located near Lindberg/Dorsett our technique studio which is smaller (450 sqft), has mirrors as well as a lovely bamboo floor and is located at 10247 Thorpe Avenue. 63114  (corner of Thorpe and Krem - enter the driveway off Krem for studio entrance)  Come and check it out ... it is a wonderful place to learn!

Salsa with Style !!!
levels 1 & 2

These classes covers the fundamental steps danced in the nightclubs today. The core material and variations are covered in depth along with syncopations that can be danced with a partner or solo. A strong emphasis is placed on how to be a flexible leader and follower.

This is a dance class designed to help you understand how to dance with a partner, but also teaching you how to move your body in a way that looks good. Basics include: Passes left and right, cumbia variations, cross body leads and right passes with and without turns and the game of trading turns.  

The Club Salsa 2 goes further into the world of dance with spins, wraps, side by side moves and more stylish ways to move your body.  We will help you to find you own way to move so that you look great but also feel great to your partner.

Details: If you miss a class we invite you to make it up in another salsa class if one is available within the month you are registered.  If there are no other equivalent or lower level salsa classes being offered at the time then there will be no make ups offered.  There are no refunds or credits given after the first day of class.

August Tango Residency with master teacher Damian Lobato

Damian Lobato is one of the top tango dancers in the world working on the continuing development of this Argentine Tango dance we love. His ideas are fresh and amazingly simple.  He simply takes the old and makes it new again.  We know this sounds too simple to be true but trust us...one class and you will be hooked!  Whether you are just beginning (what a great way to get started) or have been taking classes for a while these classes will inspire and excite you to dance in ways you had not thought possible.

The classes are designed for 4 levels of dancers. Each class will develop one idea in terms of structure technique and musical interpretation. The ideas will provide a foundation for dancing tango applicable to all styles.
 
In August Damian would like to have 4 classes that last 4 weeks.

Argentine Tango Close Embrace

Come take a FUNdamental Tango crash course in a low key and easy going environment.  If you are interested in dancing Argentine Tango the way it was done in the beginning, full of passion and simple elegance this is the class for you!

Requirements: Two left feet, a sense of humor and an adventurous spirit

When: Thursdays, July 3rd to 24th
(4 weeks), 6:30pm to 7:30pm

Cost:  $50 per person

Advanced Intermediate Argentine Tango Classes!

Our Thursday night tango classes are for our most advanced tango dancers.  They are combinations of intermediate material put together in clever and complex ways.  These classes are by invitation only and require at least two years of tango training in addition to permission of the instructor.  We feel strongly that to attempt the difficult and not injure yourself or your partner requires a very solid understanding and ability to execute your basics as well as your intermediate tango material.  We look forward to inviting you to this class and until then keep up the good work!

When:  Thursdays, September 11th to October 30th

 7:30pm to 8:30pm - Int Close Embrace Tango Pay Online  (all levels)

 8:30pm to 9:45pm    - Adv Intermediate Pay Online

Cost:  $120 per person for the eight week series of your choice.

Fall Argentine Tango Classes!

Come and heat things up a little with Argentine Tango lessons.  The community is diverse, the people are fun and (really) everyone should know how to tango!  It is fun and sexy and is a great way to get out and do something exciting! You do not need a partner, nor do you need any experience (for the 101, 102 or close embrace) all you need is your sense of humor and two feet...even if they are both left!

 When:  Wednesdays, September 10th to October 29th

We feel that learning close embrace and open tango simultaneously has many benefits.  Because of this we offer you to take the Tango Close Embrace and the 102 or intermediate for $180.

Make up classes are available at the FUNdamentals class but must be arranged in advance and taken within the time frame of the class you are enrolled in.  There are no refunds or credits given after the first day of class.  If there is space available you may pay for a single class ($15) at the beginning of the series (to try it out) if you are unsure about committing to the entire class .
